Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Soak the dried seaweed in a large bowl with cold water for 20 minutes until tender. Drain and chop.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté beef and garlic until beef is browned and fragrant, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add chopped, soaked seaweed to the pot and toss to combine for about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in water or beef broth and add soy sauce. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  6. Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
