Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 1 cup of sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear, then drain. Cook rice according to package instructions in a rice cooker or pot, and allow it to steam for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice a 12-ounce can of Spam into 8 rectangles. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a skillet. Fry Spam for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Brush with a mix of 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon mirin.
  3. Lay a sheet of nori, shiny side down, on a clean surface. Spread about 1/3 cup of seasoned rice over the nori. Place a Spam rectangle on top and roll nori around tightly. Seal edge with water.
  4. Allow musubi to rest seam-side down for 5 minutes. Slice into 1-2 inch pieces and enjoy.
