  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Sage dried sage is a suitable alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the rice by boiling chicken broth, adding wild rice mix, and simmering for 25 minutes.
  2. Toast sliced almonds in a skillet over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until golden.
  3. Sauté diced onions, sliced mushrooms, and chopped celery in olive oil for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Cook pork sausage in skillet until browned, then mix in toasted almonds and sage.
  5. Combine wild rice, sausage mixture, black pepper, and cream of mushroom soup in a bowl.
  6. Bake in a greased baking dish at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
