- Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the slow cooker, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Pour your favorite hot sauce over the chicken, then add the butter cut into small pieces on top.
- Take your sweet potatoes and rub them with melted butter for added richness. Prick the potatoes with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking. Place the seasoned sweet potatoes directly on top of the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker with its lid, set it to cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
- Once cooking time is complete, carefully remove the sweet potatoes from the slow cooker. Shred or slice the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
