Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, it is ready for the next step.
  2. Add the ground turkey and season with a pinch of salt. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, breaking it up and ensuring it’s cooked through.
  3. Stir in the finely diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add the minced garlic, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Mix in the diced tomatoes and pasta sauce. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook on low for about 30 minutes.
  6. Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente, reserving 1-2 cups of pasta water.
  7. Combine the spaghetti with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency. Garnish with parsley and serve.
