- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce.
- Spread uncooked long-grain white rice at the bottom of the prepared baking dish, followed by a layer of cooked ground beef.
- Pour the French onion soup and beef consommé over the rice and beef, stirring gently if necessary to keep layers intact.
- Dot the top of the casserole with small pats of unsalted butter.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 60 to 75 minutes.
- Remove the foil, fluff the rice with a fork, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
