Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup Warm Milk can be substituted with non-dairy milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar brown sugar can deepen flavor
  • 2 teaspoons Yeast ensure it’s fresh
  • 1/4 cup Butter use vegan butter for dairy-free
  • 2 whole Eggs can be replaced with flaxseed meal mixed with water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 to 4.5 cups All-Purpose Flour experiment with bread flour for chewiness
Filling
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Fresh Apples can use frozen if drained
Icing
  • 2 cups Confectioners’ Sugar can be substituted with a sugar alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract optional but recommended
  • 1/2 cup Salted Caramel Sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture with melted butter, eggs, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour to the mixture, kneading until the dough is soft and elastic.
  4. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl and let it rise covered for 1.5 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, roll out the dough and spread softened butter over it, followed by brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, and apples.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into individual rolls. Arrange in a greased pan and let rise for about 45–60 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375°F (191°C) while the rolls rise.
  8. Bake the rolls for approximately 25 minutes until they are golden brown.
  9. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then drizzle with warm caramel icing.
