Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  2. In the same skillet, lower the heat and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant; be careful not to burn it.
  3. Slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Increase heat slightly to bring to a gentle simmer. Add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  5. Return sliced chicken to the skillet with sauce, add pasta, and toss to combine. Adjust sauce with reserved pasta water if too thick.
  6. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh herbs and additional parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
