Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Warm the milk to about 110°F. Whisk together warm milk, active dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine flour and salt, then mix in softened butter, egg, and foamy yeast mixture. Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased dish and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before glazing.
  5. Make the glaze by combining powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to desired consistency. Drizzle over warm rolls.
