Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter and mix with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, beating well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. In another bowl, sift together 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in 1 cup of honey roasted cornflakes, reserving some for topping.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
