Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter and ½ cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Sift in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and fold in 1 cup of finely chopped pecans until just combined.
  4. Shape the dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the bottoms are light golden brown. The tops should remain pale.
  6. Let the cookies rest for 5 minutes, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
  7. Cool completely and roll in powdered sugar again for an extra snowy finish before serving.
