  • to taste Pepper
For Cooking
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or cooking spray

Equipment

  • skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • parchment paper

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground breakfast sausage for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it's no longer pink. Drain excess fat and let cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled sausage with shredded hashbrowns, beaten eggs, shredded cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently for about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Shape small portions of the mixture into round bites, about 1-2 inches in diameter, and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry each bite for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Transfer bites to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with your favorite sauces or sides.
