- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add sausage, breaking it apart. Sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cherry tomatoes. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant and tomatoes soften.
- Lower heat and mix in pesto sauce. Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing until well-coated. If dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle Parmesan cheese and torn basil leaves on top. Serve immediately.
