Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 baking dish. In a large bowl, follow the instructions on your brownie mix package, combining the mix with required ingredients until smooth. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
  2. Wash and slice your strawberries in half, keeping them firm. Gently place the halved strawberries on top of the brownie batter, cut side down.
  3. Transfer the baking dish to your preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat ½ cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers. Pour the cream over 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 2 minutes without stirring.
  5. Stir the mixture until smooth and glossy. Add more cream if the ganache is too thick.
  6. Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies, covering the strawberries completely. Spread evenly.
  7. Place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set the ganache.
  8. Remove from the fridge and slice into squares using a sharp knife. Serve as is or garnish with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
