Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 baking dish. In a large bowl, follow the instructions on your brownie mix package, combining the mix with required ingredients until smooth. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Wash and slice your strawberries in half, keeping them firm. Gently place the halved strawberries on top of the brownie batter, cut side down.
- Transfer the baking dish to your preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- In a small saucepan, heat ½ cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers. Pour the cream over 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 2 minutes without stirring.
- Stir the mixture until smooth and glossy. Add more cream if the ganache is too thick.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies, covering the strawberries completely. Spread evenly.
- Place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set the ganache.
- Remove from the fridge and slice into squares using a sharp knife. Serve as is or garnish with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
