Ingredients

For the Potatoes
  • 1 pound Baby Potatoes Parboil before frying.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Essential for achieving golden crust.
For the Steak
  • 1 pound Steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon) Choose tender cuts for quick cooking.
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Select unsalted for better control over seasoning.
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (like parsley or chives) Add for color and freshness.

Equipment

  • medium pot
  • large skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Boil water, add potatoes, and parboil for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and dry completely.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook parboiled potatoes cut side down for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Season the steak bites with salt and pepper. Once the potatoes are golden, sear the steak bites in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside to keep warm.
  4. Lower the heat, add minced garlic, and stir for 30 seconds. Add butter and herbs to create a flavorful sauce, tossing in steak and potatoes to coat.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve immediately.
