  • 0.25 cup Olive Oil Substitute with avocado oil for higher smoke point
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh garlic is best; garlic powder can be used
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Lime juice can be used as an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Sweet paprika or cayenne pepper can be used
  • to taste Salt Use sea salt or kosher salt for a coarser texture
  • to taste Pepper Freshly cracked black pepper provides best flavor
For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Peeled and Deveined Shrimp Quick-cooking and flavorful; use thawed frozen shrimp

Method
 

Marinade and Grill
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Add shrimp to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread 4-5 shrimp onto each skewer.
  4. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Remove skewers from grill and serve, garnished with fresh herbs and lemon juice.
