Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Meat (turkey or chicken) or use leaner meats
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs use gluten-free breadcrumbs if desired
  • 1 large Egg or a flax egg for plant-based
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic use fresh for best flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper adjust to taste
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger grated for maximum zest
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Green Onions
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • Cilantro optional

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into 1 inch meatballs. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Heat over medium until simmering and slightly thickened.
  5. Transfer cooked meatballs to the saucepan and gently stir to coat them in sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the meatballs garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro. Enjoy!
