  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs whole wheat or regular
  • 1/4 cup minced flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust for desired heat
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground turkey, grated onion, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, minced parsley, and spices. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1½ inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey and apple cider vinegar to create the sauce.
  6. Once cooked, toss meatballs in the honey garlic sauce to coat them evenly.
  7. Serve warm, either over rice or as appetizers with toothpicks.
