For the Bowl
  • 4 cups Cooked Rice Use steamed white or brown rice.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Thinly sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds Toasted.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Sliced Cucumbers
  • 1 cup Kimchi

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes until no longer pink.
  2. Once the beef is cooked, stir in 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 3 cloves of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of grated ginger. Let simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Divide 4 cups of cooked rice among bowls and top each with the beef mixture.
  4. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Optionally add sliced cucumbers or kimchi.
