Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Caramelize the onions by sautéing sliced onions in a skillet over low heat for 25–30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the filling by mixing caramelized onions, sausage, garlic, and thyme in a bowl.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  4. Assemble the rolls by placing a spoonful of filling on each pastry rectangle and sealing with egg wash.
  5. Bake the rolls at 200°C (390°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool the rolls on a wire rack for a few minutes, then serve with garnish.
