  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar Can substitute with honey.
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Fresh Ginger
  • 1 piece Red Chili Sliced for added spice.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro Chopped, or use Thai basil.

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse the white fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, granulated sugar, and grated ginger.
  3. Coat the fish fillets evenly in the marinade and let marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. While the fish is marinating, set up your steaming dish and line it with parchment paper if desired.
  5. Arrange the marinated fillets in a single layer, topping each with sliced red chili and some cilantro.
  6. Steam the fish for about 10 to 12 minutes until the fillets are opaque and flaky.
  7. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with remaining cilantro.
