Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Spread uncooked long-grain rice evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the browned ground beef over the uncooked rice.
- Pour the French onion soup and beef consommé over the layers of ground beef and rice.
- Dot the top of the casserole with small pats of unsalted butter.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60-75 minutes.
- After baking, fluff the rice with a fork and optionally garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes
For a cheesy finish, add shredded cheddar or mozzarella during the last 10 minutes of baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
