Cooking Steps
- Heat the oil in a large pot or skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the finely diced onion. Sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- Incorporate the chopped zucchini and yellow squash, stirring frequently for about 3 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and pasta sauce. Stir well and bring to a boil, then simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- While the sauce simmers, bring salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Drain spaghetti and toss with reserved pasta water if needed. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti.
